Dave Jewel presented a video from the recent IONS conference on the subject of "Caring Science Theory" with Jean Watson. In it she explained a shift that is going on between "techno-cure," the largest form of healing available now, and caring science, which involves healing rituals (generally performed by nurses, but also by younger doctors), and emphasis on the connection between human caring of the sick and inner peace, stemming from the idea that face-to-face energy heals. Emphasis here is on finding light in the soul in order to promote harmony in the person. Certainly a new way of viewing illness, and one that has huge potential.
The last half hour brought energetic talk on diverse subjects: World View Literacy; Heart Math; story telling, spiritual consciousness; changes in the subject matter of meetings to meet the needs of the group changing the time of meetings; forming the subject matter of meetings to encourage heart opening. Most of all, we spoke of forming a new kind of group, to begin in January, where personal experiences for attendees will form the base of future meetings.
