Teresa Bright gave a fascinating presentation on what it takes to change basic negative beliefs. We all know where those get you! I was impressed by Teresa's take on Psych-K because the modality has its roots in altering the subconscious by way of new, positive beliefs. She demonstrated through the seven categories of change (Grief & Loss, Health & Body, Prosperity, Self-esteem, etc.) how muscle testing for weakness on a positive statement can morph into creating a strong positive statement.
What follows, when the process is done correctly, is a healthier, happier person who is no longer beset with that negative belief. This was a godsend for those of us who have thought that all we have to do to change an unwanted belief is become aware of it and then (presto!) replace it. More techniques and evidence are becoming mainstream: This is stuff that Candice Pert, Ph.D. talked about in "Your Body Is Your Subconscious Mind," and it is becoming more than talk: various body therapies, as well as our mentors at IONS, are showing us that we have the capacities to heal ourselves. Let Teresa, or Michael, or Lynn or me (Mary) know if you are interested in more knowledge about this noetic subject.
