Mary brought Shift in Actions' Summer 2007 audio CD, "The Frontiers of Intention" by Lynne McTaggart, for us to listen to. So we started our meeting with a discussion of "intention:"
- Do successful intentions require a certain talent?
- Why, if we are all connected, are there such polarities among the people of the world?
- Should we employ intentions in the cause of supporting impeachment? There's a group with the objective of impeaching President Bush & Vice President Cheney (http://www.worldcantwait.org/).
- Is it appropriate to use the IONS mailing list (Google Group) to raise money for a political/societal objective?
Then we listened to the CD, "The Frontiers of Intention" by Lynne McTaggart. Lynne travelled around the world checking out studies done on intentions and has written a book presenting scientific evidence that intentions have a measurable effect on material reality. Anyone can participate in experiments about intentions. If interested go to www.theintentionexperiment.com.
Other questions and discussion included:
- War will continue until a better balance between feminine & masculine energies is achieved.
- The Bush administration plays a valuable role in demonstrating the negative effects of using power & competition instead of cooperation & consensus-building.
